Yamaha was one of only three manufacturers to update its 450 motocross bike for 2022. The blue crew gave this models YZ450F new internal fork and shock settings for increased mid- to high-speed damping force; specked a 28-gram-lighter rear hub, 42-gram-lighter rear sprocket, and 73-gram-lighter chain to reduce un-sprung weight; and switched from a two-cross-spoke pattern to a three-cross on the rear wheel for better traction and impact reaction.
